Project Description

Configuring multi-axis high 'g' and high shock sensors at multiple locations on the space frame, tyre mounts and suspension points, the tests were conducted on a specifically designed test rig that simulates the road load and exaggerated conditions to validate the frame worthiness and overall performance properties of the sub-system considered.

Prior to this testing, a series of data collections were made with the car frame running on actual road conditions; data from road load and of bump testing were combined to arrive at results and inference. These tests also lead to checking and validating sub-system of battery and controls on Electro-Dynamic shakers subsequently to complete the validation process.

The entire activity is a full loop process with inputs from results of each test migrating to the next test / validation step and thus making the design improvement iteration cycle complete.
